Last one I promise….but I had to mention this.  It’s the third time I’ve come across the Miu Miu embellished blouse today.  It’s so pretty I want to cry.  Check out the naked ladies on the collar…….

Transeasonal Dressing

leave a comment »

Dressing appropriately for the seasons has never been one of my strong points.  I get too impatient waiting for the temperature to tip the eighties and inevitably bare my legs too early, leaving me shivering in the March winds.

Transeasonal pieces should ease you into the new season gently. They should be practical and easily integrated into the rest of your wardrobe.  Chino’s are a great alternative to a jean when the weather starts to warm and these Acne beauties are the perfect colour.  I’ll be wearing mine with a classic polo, some pumps or tan brogues and a slick of matt red lippy to inject a bit of much needed colour.

For outerwear, you can go a little lighter than your big wool coat  now, so a quilted or wax jacket is perfect for the job.  I’m lusting after a Barbour but these offers by Asos are a great budget substitute.

Double Denim

Hope you have seen and taken part in the ‘Double Denim’ Poll

I’m reserving judgement on this one for now as I have yet to encounter any real life person who has successfully pulled it off this time around.   I fear that unless you happen to look like a lithe, honey maned Ralph Lauren model that you may be actually mistaken for someone who is still sporting dual denim from the eighties. Someone who’s friends has ever had the guts to tell you to buy new clothes.

That said, denim has always been part of my casual attire and it would only be a small step to throw on that denim shirt with a pair of skinnies.  Dress down day at my office on Friday – I shall approach with caution. Could go terribly wrong…

Chloe

Chloe is always a firm favourite with me and this look is completely effortless in it’s elegance. Slightly androgynous, with a definite Englishess about the Oxford style shirt and satchel. Part equestrian, with a touch of Farrah Fawcett!
